Solidarity and sport can be sides of the same coin, this is well known. But what if we add our 'unconventional' style to this?
We are proud to present INCLUSION, a line of swimsuits and accessories to support people with disabilities at the Centro Papa Giovanni XXIII in Ancona and in particular an innovative project: Casa Sollievo , a specially designed flat that accommodates people with disabilities who want to 'train' to live independently, building their lives, step by step, included and independent in this society.
"We are all different and that's beautiful" is the message we want to send. A message that is an invitation to look with new eyes at those around us.
The patroness of this project is Carlotta Gilli, a Paralympic swimming champion who boasts 11 world records (7 in long and 4 in short pools) and all the Italian records in both long and short pools over all distances, as well as a resplendent, indeed dazzling, medal collection (19 golds between Paralympics, World and European Championships). Carlotta not only enthusiastically posed for the official campaign shots, but also perfectly summed up the spirit with which INCLUSION was conceived: "We are all different, disabled and able-bodied. Each of us has characteristics that can be an opportunity of enrichment for others. When this truth is a collective awareness, then we can really talk about inclusion."
Proud of this collaboration, which came about thanks to our Ambassador Marco Trillini (the most creative and out-of-the-ordinary) we report the words of Giorgia Sordoni, Vice President of the Papa Giovanni XXIII Centre: "For our Social Cooperative this is a great opportunity in particular because it allows us to carry our message of Inclusion, Autonomy and Dignity for all people with disabilities very far. For us, the opportunity that Boneswimmer offers us with these beautiful swimsuits is also very important: the "right to beauty" is for everyone".
